cannot enter menu mode
Posted on: 05.06.2011 by Neta Schlaefli
Ok so I assembled my midi fighter last evening , and toevening i finally got the chance to mess with it a little bit. I updated the firmware without a hitch but I'm having an issue. I cannot find any way to get into menu mode. Ive held the top left button while resetting, Ive hit the reset button numerous times. I've re-flashed. I've tried the tapping trick. I just cant seem to get this thing to work. When I initially start it up all the buttons activate their respective LED's except for button 4 in row 2 which activates the LED's of the entire top half of the midifighter. The other buttons in the top half do nothing however. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Just working it out with the djtt guys. Super quick response. They're on the ball with it.

Thanks for posting the video. I had run out of ideas by the time I found it.

Mike from DJTT messaged me and told me that they would have to send me a new one. They had it sent out super fast and I didn't even have to send my broken one back. Apparently there is a fix but it requires some soldering/knowledge. Ask them about it!

have you tried the wire boot method? That may kick start something into action.

That's definitely odd. I believe maybe you need to contact the store and see about swapping it out.
