Anyway I would buy the DB4 over the 4D for what I want

the 4d has playable midi controls where the midi controls on the db4 look like an after thought or something they just added to their effects buttons. i own a 4d and its very nice. i dont believe there are enough similarities to actually compare the two one is an effects mixer with midi (db4) the other is a playable midi mixer without effects.

OH and the xone 4d has got more sliders.....but apart from that

They are pretty similar the only difference is

The 4d is a xone 92 with a couple of 2d's stuck on,
The db4 has got the fx and no jogs and maybe a few pots less than the 4d,
but you can assign quite a lot of the buttons and pots on the db4 via midi
and use them to control Traktor

They are entirely different beasts.

Db4 hands down, I've never wanted/needed to use 4d.

But I want to upgrade to the db4, I believe it could be the best mixer out there at the moment

This thread should really be moved to general disc....mods??!
