Vci-100/traktor Pro "problem" Please Help! Posted on: 02.03.2009 by Page Heimerdinger I am new to all this so please help!!I recently bought a VCI 100 w/o the software, so I went out and bought Traktor PRO. I loaded up it up, but I can't get the VCI 100 to work with it. The buttons and jog wheels won't work! I know there is a signal because in the traktor PRO window, up at top the MIDI light goes on when the buttons are pushed and I can play with the program with the keyboard only. I believe it has to do with the mapping, which I don't know what I am doing (I am new to this computer djing). I have a mac desktop, so I went to docs<native ins.<traktor<settings<midi mapping (which nothing shows up?), then i tried to do it manuelly in midi mapping...still nothing!! Then I seen some tsi files on this site here, but I don't know how to load them up...lol! If anybody out there can please help out a new comer, Thanks!! Also do I need a external sound card for mixing? Cause where I bought my software they told me I didn't. Badrok | |

The midi icon lights up when I push a button on the vci. I re-installed T-pro too! Also when I go to preferences>import>midi settings>(this is where I am stuck) there is no tsi file???? I am new to all this so I don't really know how to load a Tsi file so if maybe some one could help please? |

If your still using traktor 3.? then thats your problem , you will need to go back to 1_4 i believe. Its available up above on the midi map tab let me know how you get on G |

Roberto Viccione 08.03.2009 | You need to download the TSI file from Vestax's site and Import it. |

Roberto Viccione 06.03.2009 | If the TSI was made in 1.1.1 then that could be causing your issues. |
Julianna Riecken 06.03.2009 | Oh I heard 1.1.1 had a few issues, I ran the update from LE but not for TPro, I have updated TPro bus still nothing Driving me mad |
Doug Bieling 06.03.2009 | What do you mean by stability issues I thought 1.1.1 was supposed to be more stable??? Anyway what version of traktot pro are you trying tinstall the tsi to?? What do you mean you updated LE but not pro ??? |
Julianna Riecken 06.03.2009 | I went straight from Traktor 3LE to Pro, This all works fine on my iMac, done 2 complete OS and Traktor installs now and still baffling? I updated the LE but not the TPro because ive heard about stability issues, with 1.1.1, this is the same on my iMac aswell Im really am lost with it now |

Julianna Riecken 06.03.2009 | Done all my fresh installs, still got the same issue, I downloaded the 1.6 TSI and tried to import that and got an error message "Accessor information has unknown version, therefore it has been ignored" Help |
Julianna Riecken 06.03.2009 | Thanks for your replys I have no issues using this setup on my iMac I'm using a Numark DJ IO Ive re-installed LE and upgraded to TPro 3 times now. The Midi Mapping is not loading with TPro When I go to import a TSI file there are no TSI in the Midi Mappings Place When trying to import one from DJTT I get the error message and cannot use it I am now getting a Kernel Panic when selecting my soundcard (just doing a fresh OS install now) I have loaded tracks but have no control with the VCi I'm doing a fresh install of everything now, so fingers crossed! |
Doug Bieling 06.03.2009 | ok ... 1)Have you got a tsi file ??? 2)Are there any mappings showing in the main window in the midi mapping section in the preferences window ??? If yes to question 1 and no to question 2 Open up traktor pro In preferences you should see at the bottom a section called midi mapping In the bottom left corner you should see a button labelled import .. press it you should now see a standard open file dialogue box. browse to the TSI you said you have in the first question and select and open or ok Voila ... you shoudl know see a load of mappings in the midi mappings window. Now see if you can get it working. If No to question 1 Download a TSI file from the midi map section at the top iof the page. If you have answered yes to Question 2 Have you set up your audio / soundcard ? Do you have tracks loaded into the decks when you are trying to get the jog wheels working ? |
fernanda reyes 06.03.2009 | You should buy a external sound card. If you don't, you can't hear your cue. To instal tsi: preferences> (bottom in the window) load>ok |
Julianna Riecken 04.03.2009 | Ive got this issue on my macbook, done 2 or 3 installs now and still the same, ive removed the plists aswell to make sure i get a fresh install.. LE loads and works fine but nothing in Tpro, very frustrating |

Page Heimerdinger 04.03.2009 | I have done that a couple of times too! There is a signal going from the vci to the computer, the jog wheels and buttons don't do anything but when they are pushed the midi light lights up on t-pro. I am believeing it has to do with the mapping. Can anyone tell me how to map the vci to t-pro or tell me how to load a tsi file? I am new to this:eek: |

Cristian Carmona 03.03.2009 | sounds like traktor didnt install right. I would say reinstall T-PRO |
Page Heimerdinger 03.03.2009 | I have tried that, when I get to midi settings nothing shows up in that folder. That's were I am lost! I don't know whats going on? Is there a way to load an tsi file from here? |
Cristian Carmona 03.03.2009 | Open up Preferences>Import>Settings>Midi Mappings>Vestax VCI-100.tsi and you should be good. |
Page Heimerdinger 03.03.2009 | I tried that. I must have a wrong tsi. How would I know or how can I load up a new one. I seen some on here but I don't know how to upload them. Thanks for the geting back |
Cristian Carmona 03.03.2009 | under midi settings the vci should show up, make sure that you have and "X" next to the Vestax VCI-100. It should work if you have the proper .tsi loaded. |
