painting a launchpad?
painting a launchpad? Posted on: 20.02.2010 by Long Harbage i bought a novation launchpad and am completely loving using it,but i was believeing about trying to make it a bit more original than its current design. im believeing a veryveryvery simple mod of simply painting the faceplate with some spray paint, now ive found this website which shows that it is indeed incredibly easy to take off the faceplate http://www.illuminatedsounds.com/?p=583 but now i was just wondering if anyone has any kind of experience with painting something like this, like as in what troubles might i run in to? like will the paint possibly make it to thick so it wont go back on, or could the paint somehow get into the controller when i reapply the faceplate? i have really no clue with this sort of stuff haha! any help appreciated thanks | |

Anette Botek 20.02.2010 | You shouldn't have any trouble painting it.. I just wouldn't put it on too thick-- do a couple light coats. Any good krylon or rustoleum plastic paint will work fine.... I might just make a vinyl skin for the to of mine... |
