Master deck manual override. Possible?
Master deck manual override. Possible? Posted on: 05.03.2010 by Sharleen Binckley Ok, I normally have my deck master settings on auto, but sometimes the master deck is not the deck I want to be on master. I have a master button assigned for each deck, but when I hit it it obviously snaps back to the other deck being the master and sometimes Im hitting a button, my tracks are drifting out of time & it takes a few seconds for me to realise master has flicked back to the other deck.Is there a way of having deck master on auto but when I hit the master button on my controller it keeps what ever deck I hit the master button on as the master deck until a new track is loaded? Then obviously its running back to normal auto mode. Any help there appreciated. Peace | |

Reece Murray 09.03.2010 | I don't really understand what you guys are saying - I have my rig set to auto, with set deck to master commands, and it works fine. Traktor picks the master deck until I tell it a different deck is master. Is this what you are trying to do? You just have to watch out for the way Auto mode will pick whichever deck has been running the longest as the master - sometimes, looping and jumping around a couple decks, a deck becomes master when you didn't expect it to. |
Latoria Kavulich 05.03.2010 | Yeah you can't do that whilst in deck master auto mate, like DA says. What you need to do is set the deck master to manual first. Go into controller mappings and set and add in a master tempo select for each deck, with the controller type as button and interaction mode as direct, and set to each deck. Now this way you can choose any deck as master with the touch of a button, but you will have to change the master deck manually every time. You can always link this function to the load deck button, so for example if you loaded a track into deck C the master deck would also change to C. |
