Elizebeth Lizakowski 30.03.2010 | thanx pioneer for all the effort...im still havin a hardtime trying to leds to work but, As a progress i can now control Tspro w/ my ddm4k with a usb to midi cable, but i have this small problem with the sampler section of the ddm4k,it is not functioning unlike the mic and the crossfader section does,i wonder why... regarding on tsi file, ive d/l some their tsi files and import them on controller mnger settings..but i cant figure it out to work on my ddm the buttons are not responding to new tsi files...i also want to know if example i want to mix externally on ddm4000 but want to use the ddm midi settings as well...do i still need the usb/midi cable connected from ddm4k to loptop(to control tspro) or do i just need an midi cables in/out goin to in/out of audio8...in short can i still control tspro from my ddm4k w/o the usb to midi cable connected to loptop but rather will connect the midi in/out of ddm4k to midi in/outs of audio8 with an ordinary 2 midi cables.....hope you get my point guys!thanx! ___ |
Lashonda Corris 28.03.2010 | yep you need driver for audio 8 and midi cable on both laptops in order install exactly the same way on both and should work but am miffed if it don't??? ok as for led to work you nedd to use the add out in midi controller section but in order to get the led to be have as you want you need to map it as your mapping functions you have to play with the led and use m modifiers in order to get this to work what decks are you using as i'm mapping my ddm fo a total control of ever function and will send the tsi but expect some long session sat down as the somp to figure out mappings as their is no set way to map it's completly custom as to how you like your set up mine is about 50 % done it involves each section of the midi for each setion you turn of will do a different job a set up for internal mixing 2 deck setup or 4 decks wilth external control of 2 or 4 decks efeect and advanced effects mapped i will be doing videos on this like ean but untils fin i'm in a similr boat wilth the leds but getting there i will give you link ot youtube if ya want i mean this is what the project is it's all in face book mixes soon on youtube facebook and itunes bare with me i am in the same state as you but one got it figured will share all u gonna love the tsi its wll deep |
Elizebeth Lizakowski 23.03.2010 | Hello again PIONEER!sorry 2 disturb u again...but until now i still cant get my ddm4k to work on my loptop (1st loptop/intel core duo),i even uninstall the latest update of TSpro(1st loptop) coz maybe im believein that it will work also w/o the latest update just what i did on my netbook, but still i didnt work, then i thought of putting the license and the latest update on my netbook and surprisingly it work..i even manage to follow ur thread regarding routing the music from my mixer (but i stil cant figure it out how to blink the leds from my mixer)...nwei,nevermind the blinking leds first...i believe the problem was on my loptop's usb port coz its not responding to the ddm4k midi cable,i notice it when i did the same setup from my netbook(working),but when i hook the exact setup/settings to my 1st loptop it is not responding the music does go out from my mixer with the audio 8 connected but controlling it thru ddm4k,it fails....do i need to install something/driver on my 1st loptop to make it work?is there any help u can tell me to use my netbook on tspro regarding that the cpu usage on top is goin high that i can hear crackles while mixin on it...i dont want to gamble using netbook on tspro specially if im goin on a gig!waiting again from u man!thanx! |

Lashonda Corris 21.03.2010 | ok found this community
thread on how to set up your midi it's more comprehensive than what I can explain: http://www.djranking s.com/community /sho...pping+ddm+4000 Firstly the ddm will not show up as a midi controller it's self it just sends midi to traktor you need to have your usb midi cable selected that ur midi scource or have all midi port open traktor will see your cable providing your drivers are installed... your audio secondly and first laptop presume that you on tspro with license now Ive heard that you need to connect the NI DJ audio interface as this works as a dongle in order for traktor to work if it's legal version (I started with torq and it did this, serato dose this too so iv'e heard) now as for the audio routing when NI audio interface hooked up start traktor hit preference> audio setup, select NI interface. then select input routing this is if u use time codes, ok how to configure: NI audio-8 has 4 audio in and 4 audio out in the screen you will have drop down menus for each deck 2 on each deck these are the audio in for where you timecode signal comes in to trakor. deck A got to top drop down you should see all audio ins after clicked on use input 1 for left channel and input 2 for right play you cd or vinyl you should see blue signal now do same fo other deck going up in numerical sequence eg Deck A left: input 1 right: input 2 Deck B left: input 3 right: input 4 same theory in the output routing just gotta play until you get the audio to you mixer channels the you gotta configure timecodes it's easier using the cd's than vinyl you need a circle for it to be ok, but it self explanitory in the time code set up set channel a to deck a ect... any prob you know the drill... |
Elizebeth Lizakowski 20.03.2010 | Zup again pioneer proj,i already manage to control it but i did it thru my 2nd netbook(atom processor) with a demo version of traktor..im wondering y it didnt work with my 1st loptop(intel core duo) with the license TSpro?i already tried plugging it on the 4 usb ports of my 1st loptop but i cant still make it work..it is both xp with a minimum requirements of traktor but the thing is my netbook is new,and i dont want to use this netbook for my TSpro because i believe its struggling because i can see that cpu bar on top of tspro is goin a bit high specially when im loading track to the other deck or using both the effects, unlyk my 1st loptop he is not struggling with a little bit of cpu usage on it,,,(correct me if im wrong with this idea).....and how can i be able to hear my music from my mixer?coz i just hear it on my loptop?in short how would the sounds come out of my ddm4k? ....waiting fo ur reply guys!thanx a lot! |
Yahaira Wolensky 20.03.2010 | i have an issue with my ddm4000 too. i set an out mapping to turn CC 71 on when i hit a button, the light only lights up for a sec, and it wont stay lit. |

Lashonda Corris 19.03.2010 | HI, I have a similar setup USB to midi for the DDM 4000 it deals with something called "Midi Flow" or "Signal Flow"(whichever you like it's the same) but in order to make it a complete midi curcuit, make sure have it plugged in like this: 1.USB in PC (of course) 2.(now this may get a little confusing) on the cable it may say "midi in" or find some kind of indication on the cable that says the midi flow goes in, plug that into midi out on the back on the DDM. 3.and same fore the other plug " the midi out" into the "midi in" on the DDM. I'm guessing that you have the channels ect.. on the ddm turned on for midi and also in traktor you may need to select the midi device on by selecting it in the control manager in traktor 1.2 or in midi setup in 1.1 by clicking a x in the active box. hopes this helps any probs message me. |
