I wouldnt have commented without reading first.
I believe you really haven't understood my post (and have still some trouble believing that you read it in the first place). Funny thing is: you unknowingly proof my point.

But let me recapitulate and clarify again. My general point was that a genre name by itself is not enough to give proper recommendations, as on the one hand genre descriptions virtually always cover quite a range of different "sounds" and on the other hand genre definitions are bound to be somewhat different for different people. To demonstrate the latter point, I mentioned one of my favorite labels - many tracks of which Beatport designates as "Indie Dance / Nu Disco", while I would rather call them "Deep House". Later I gave a brief description what kind of sound I'd rather call Nu Disco. That's pretty much the jist of my post. I hope it's more understandable now.

Btw, I also don't believe your "blablabla 70ies blablabla"-comment is accurate. The current nu disco sound seems more deeply rooted in the 80ies rather than the 70ies (or better: in anything after "I Feel Love", which was released in 77 and makes a way better dividing point than the arbitrary change between one decade and the other)

EDIT: I promise to post some music in here later today, so I won't destroy it with long music-less posts. But I couldn't let that stand

I don't know dude, a lot of nu-disco I listen to has a pretty heavy kick/punch. Duck Sauce, Only Children, Oliver, Solidisco, etc.

I second that
Don't forget to check out Goldroom (artist), I swear I haven't heard a bad tune made by them. Also, check out Groove Panda channel on YouTube, it's my personal favorite together with Majestic Casual

+1

I believe nu-disco is a relatively broad genre that can contain elements from indie dance to deep house. Even some dreamwave hints at Italo disco.

Some of my favorite artists off the top of my head:

Chromeo
Breakbot
Treasure Fingers
Francophillipe
Mitzi
Fred Falke
Treasure Fingers
Moullinex
Munk
Louis La Roche
Gigamesh

and the artists whom I consider to be the godfathers of nu-disco: DAFT PUNK
Ming Devis

J Paul Getto

One amazing label is Guesthouse, mixture of disco and swing house.

I guess what I'd consider worthwhile Nu Disco is stuff with a more balearic sound to it (and even slower than all the Deep House stuff at the moment), but I don't really have any particular labels to mention in this regard, but rather individual tunes. Apart from the usual mp3 retailers loads of cool disco edits can be found on soundcloud. But again I don't really have recommendations whom to follow.

Edit: But to recommend at least one label with this post: check out MB Disco, they release nice stuff
