When you say program it in M8 - What is M8?
That's you, that is m8

(m8 = mate)

Have a look thro the tutorials here on DJTT and the NI community s, these should be enough to get u started m8

Hi Hippie,

I thank you so much for at least terying to help me.
Thank you.
I have that instructiuons manaul but am still learing.

I was hoping there is a document that explains midi in general better.
IE modifiers etc with basic examples of how to program it.

I'm very new to this so I need more basic terms of ex[laining until I can pick up on the bigger things.

I've tried downloading the traktor Bible, but it's a bit expensive for me.
I know everyone says it's where I should begin.

When you say program it in M8 - What is M8?

Thank you once again for helping.

Here and the NI community s or the manufacturers community s for the software you want to use are as good as anywhere now tbh.
ChefT has a community for BCD owners (I saw your post there ) but it's not so busy now technology has moved on I'm afraid.

I've not got a BCD3000 and wasn't sure I understood exactly what U wanted to do in your other thread here or the 1 on ChefT's community tbh.
From what I do understand tho, u need to read up on Traktor's modifiers as you'll need to understand them to make a button on the BCD control 2 different functions in Traktor, in different states. Basically they're like using a shift or caps lock key on a typing keyboard, making a single button/slider/knob etc activate different commands depending on the modifier value. They're pretty easy to map if you're methodical and plan it out carefully.
And look into Macros (making multiple things happen at once) for the FX combinations you want. I believe u just need to map a single knob (and a button to activate them) to the multiple FX controls u want to use at the same time, to do what u describe if I've understood your post.

Altho things are slightly different in the recent Traktor updates, Cheft's BCD3000 mapping instructable might be useful to you as the priciples are still the same http://www.instructables.com/id/How_...000_in_Trakto/
I'd also grab as many TSIs as you can find and take a look at how they've used the modifiers, and see what's possible, and how other people have reused the knobs and buttons available.
Then plan out what u want to do and program it in m8, I doubt it'll take u long to figure it out and make it work the way u want.
