Nenita Lumpkin 23.04.2010 | Once again BTW I am running on a MAC. |
Nenita Lumpkin 23.04.2010 | Thanks Phatso, I believe its really awesome that people take the time on here to help others out for no other reason than to be helpful, much repsect! Is that out put sourcing to get the headphones working, or will that help the Gain LED's light up...I got my headphones working already. To DJBAKER...When I get home toevening I will look at exactly what I did and post it, but honest just effing around with the output source until I got the sound I wanted was what I did. I am also running the speaker line directl out of my Vestax to powered Audiophiles. Before I was running the speakers from my laptop with the internal sound card...I am not so bright when it comes to this stuff, its all experimentation... Honestly will probably have to stick with the crappy dj3 software that comes with the spin if I cant get the gain level led working properly though because without those I cant keep the mix levels balanced and one song comes out loud, the next too quiet...Dj3 is not bad for what it is, but there are no waveform graphs which really help me pick and choose cue point effectively. |
Celsa Courtemanche 23.04.2010 | in Traktor Preferences > Audio Setup: - For Audio Device, select SPIN - For Output Routing. Set Master to Output 1/2 and Monitor to 3/4. |
Rodger Mendis 23.04.2010 | @Mlagomar1 Can you post the details about your setup, because I cannot get pre-cuing to work on a mac the right way. I can get audio through the headphones but it plays virtually exactly what is coming out of the speakers. There is no way to preview the next track I want to play unless I fade it in with the crossfaders, and there's not much point in that. Thanks. |
Celsa Courtemanche 23.04.2010 | @ djmoonie Unfortunately, yes. |
Vernon Positano 23.04.2010 | Phatso, Are you sure you need asio4all ? Does the soundcard only show a single stereo pair when running natively ? |
Nenita Lumpkin 22.04.2010 | Thanks guys after messing around with various output options I got it to work. However my gain level LED's dont work...as far as I can tell everything else works fine. I am running on a mac. |
Celsa Courtemanche 22.04.2010 | On a PC, in order to use the Spin's soundcard correctly, you will need to install ASIO4all (www.asio4all.com ). Next, in Traktor Preferences > Audio Setup: - For Audio Device, select ASIO4all - Click on Settings - Configure the ASIO4all menu as as follow: http://www.virtualdj.com/image/43631...ALL%20Spin.jpg - Once done, go back to Traktor's Output Routing. Set Master to Output 1/2 and Monitor to 3/4. |
Nicky Chedister 23.04.2010 | If you can't preview with your headphones, check the mix (headphone) knob at the top of Traktor Pro. Make sure it's rotated as far as it will go counter-clockwise to the left. There's no actual knob for this function on the SPIN so you have to make sure the virtual knob is in the right position. or you might want to check if your routing is right. You should assign SPIN 3 and SPIN 4 outputs as the Monitoring Outputs in the audio settings. http://www.djranking s.com/community /sho...t=10372&page=3 |
Vernon Positano 22.04.2010 | Unfortunately that could be a variety of things, from a faulty mapping, to your sound card / audio settings in traktor. |
