(ask) Vestax vci-100 to Pioneer CDJ-1000
(ask) Vestax vci-100 to Pioneer CDJ-1000 Posted on: 25.04.2010 by sumit toppo hi there, I'm planning to buy a new dj controller like Vestax vci-100 since i'm new into this DJ thing, is it possible to map the key exactly like Pioneer CDJ-1000. Because many of my friends said that if i'm new to mixing stuff they advise me to try CDJ rather than USB midi controller. any suggestions perhaps? cheers | |

Vernon Positano 27.04.2010 | The physical layout of the VCI is not the same as a CDJ. Its similar but not the same. That aside, you can assign any button, knob or fader to whatever commands you like, to make it as similar to a CDJ as possible. That said, why you would want to is not clear. Learning to DJ is not about learning to use a specific piece of hardware, but the concepts required to perform certain techniques, and this is completely aside from what interface you are using. |
