Xone:DX midi map for Traktor Pro 1.2.4
Xone:DX midi map for Traktor Pro 1.2.4 Posted on: 24.03.2010 by Brant Briski sawadee khrap!this is a 4 deck-4 fx mapping of the xone dx which i've been using in one form or another since november. it's gone through quite a few changes to get it to this point, which is wonderfully functional for the basics and should help those along who wish to develop something of their own. the mapping is quite literal for the most part - the controls work as they're labeled for about 75% of the unit; traktor's additional features make their way on to it as explained in the freshly posted user guide i have here: http://www.mixarchitekt.com/tem-xonedx.html lots of pictures this time around. :-) the idea was to make each wing of the dx be a fully functional layer, thus deck controls and fx are switched in unison. attached is a .zip with the tsi, pdf layout, and a link back to the user guide. please note, you must be using traktor pro 1.2.4 or newer for these files to function properly! any questions, etc. just get in touch... take care - tim | |

MadMan Ajms 27.04.2010 | I 'll try it out..cheers |
Kecia Wnukowski 27.04.2010 | Ok, I understand. I don't have the problem the monitor cue is lit when pressed but I still get the amber light lit when monitor cue is off. Anyway, same results, doesnt' matter. Thanks again for your support, it's greatly appreciated. |
Brant Briski 27.04.2010 | when i mapped everything to toggle based off of the audio thru state as you mentioned, i couldn't get a consistent amber light. it would occasionally turn itself off relative to cue buttons being pressed. that's something i experience with other led's from time to time... using the modifiers enabled me to get consistent results at the cost of complexity. it took a few tries, but this one seems to work fine. |
Kecia Wnukowski 27.04.2010 | I was reviewing the tsi file to see what were the good ideas I could get from it. For the monitor cue and input selection: I've noticed you used a modifier to get the amber light lit, why didn't you use the integrated deck mode modifier (0/1: internal/audio through) which saves you a modifier. What's the difference between input and deck mode commands, it seems to me you chose a more complex way to map this. Is there's any reason, something I'm totally missing? |
MadMan Ajms 27.04.2010 | great Thanks Tim! |
Brant Briski 26.04.2010 | the led's work fine on my units. perhaps you don't have the xone:dx selected as the midi out? |
MadMan Ajms 26.04.2010 | nice..trying it out. Why don't the LED's work in the FX or anywhere like in Itch? Looks good otherwise.. |
Kecia Wnukowski 27.04.2010 | Same, thanks those are the good values. The amber lights stay lit at all time when the deck mode is on audio through - but when the monitor cue is engaged (where it supercedes the amber light anyway). 5 stars for you |
Brant Briski 26.04.2010 | ok, i rebuilt the cue/input select section of my maps and now have a working solution with pretty amber led's... my files are too big to attach, so catch the download here: http://www.mixarchitekt.com/teknik/m...xonedx-tsi.zip enjoy! |
Kecia Wnukowski 26.04.2010 | Great, I'll try those quickly (note that the values are way different from the ones I got directly from a&h ^^). Thanks a lot |
Brant Briski 26.04.2010 | hi! my friend dick lambreta hipped me to them just an hour ago... 1 - ch 12 C#2 2 - ch 12 D2 3 - ch 12 D#2 4 - ch 12 E2 i'm trying to get them to work with my map, but i keep loosing the amber state when i hit the other cues... but i have modifiers all over the place so it may take a re-work of the whole thing to get everything to fit right... attached is one version of his map, which should shed some light on how he did it. -tim |
Kecia Wnukowski 26.04.2010 | Hello Tim, did you manage to get any luck using the amber colors? Didn't succeed at all myself! |
Yon Gigler 26.04.2010 | Nice one Tim. Thanks very much for this. Your work is always appreciated. |
Brant Briski 26.04.2010 | here's an update to the mapping, including chained/advanced fx support, and a few other tricks... unfortunately the files size it too large for an attachment, so go here to pick it up: http://www.mixarchitekt.com/tem-xonedx.html |
