korg nano controller w/ ableton
Posted on: 13.01.2010 by Gaylene Castanza
So I got my babies a few days ago (launch pad and korg nano controller)

I got the launch pad up and running with basic functions.

However, my korg controller (even through copious hours trying to figure it out) doesnt seem to work with ableton live.

I am running windows 7, with ableton 8.1.1

Can anyone please help me on this matter, any advice would be amazing seeing as i'm a total amateur when it comes to mappings etc with controllers.
thanks.

this is the solution i would bet, it's an issue of windows having a limit of how many midi devices you have connected to the device at one time or another...I believe its 10 or something, after that, it looks like the nanokontrol drivers installed and everything working, when nothing works like described above,

good luck.

Test different USB ports and cables. Check the unit has power, if it's still not working return it the unit is probably faulty.

cornelius, try changing scenes on the nanoKontrol as that changes channels. Also have you checked inside Live that it's set to receive the nanoKontrol?
