Want to learn how to map this!
Want to learn how to map this! Posted on: 18.05.2010 by Alexandra Nerby So I just got my Hercules Steel and am very pleased with it. I downloaded the mapping off of thier website but would like to alter them to what I want. For TPRo btw.I have spent the better half of 3 hours sitting here reading and messing with the modifiers but can't get anything I want to work. Here's what I would like and if you all could help me accomplish this step by step, I would very grateful. I guess this will be a sort of "in parts" project for us all. Thanks 1. My jog wheels scratch as of now. But when I press and hold the "files" button to show all my songs, I would like to be able to use my jog wheels to scroll through them, and not hear the scratchin in the background as I do now. I have to hold the file button as well as "scratch" button at the same time to accomplish this... 2. I have no dry wet control. I would like to perhaps use the pitch control as this. But I have no idea how to make it functional only when I want to mess with the effects. 3. I like using filter. I have no nob controlling it now. I would like to maybe hold the shift button and then turn my gain for this to happen. I don't need my pitch fader...they can be used as modifiers. And lastly, my jump ahead buttons both jump ahead and back as well as turn on my FX 1 and 2 on and off in the process. I guess this is enough for now. I would just greatly appreciate it if I could get some help mapping this. I am now dumber than before after attempting to haha. | |

Alexandra Nerby 19.05.2010 | Thank you! Well actually what I would like to do is use it with a modifier if that is possible. I have button I press and use with nob to inc or dec the effects, now I would like to press the same button and turn a different knob to scroll through the FX.... Still possible? Edit Sorted out....this is really just me rambling now and to ask questions when they arise. I believe basically me learning myself is really the best way to learn it though. |
Janyce Henningson 19.05.2010 | Yeah u can do this mate. Just make sure that whatever the knob does normally only works when the modifier is not set. In other words it only works when shift is released. And the control you are looking for is FX Select. |
Alexandra Nerby 20.05.2010 | Ok all is mapped as of now...well one side is anyway. I'm not sure what I'm expecting, but I'll be sure to ask. Oh, I guess there is one thing. I would like to be able to scroll through my effects...how would I go about doing this? I'm just not sure what the name is in the controller manager to scroll. If I am using a modifier already as a shift key, can I use it again for a seperate nob and not run into any problems? |
Alexandra Nerby 18.05.2010 | I figured out Number 1. What I am working on now, and failing misarably, is how to press a button and hold it and use that to change the pitch. The nob I want to use is already in use for FX 1 and I'm unsure what I need to do. |
