APC40 Mapping 4 decks
APC40 Mapping 4 decks Posted on: 18.05.2010 by See Bosquez So I have mapped my APC to work fantastic with Traktor. Does anyone know how to get the led rings to work like they do with Ableton? I already have all the pads working perfect. | |

Reece Murray 21.05.2010 | What you are looking for is the magic CC+8 message. This isn't something you can do with Traktor alone, AFAIK. But if you have a midi translator program, sending a message to an APC knob CC plus 8 (IE send knob CC50 a CC58 message), you can intialize the knobs to whatever behavior you prefer. The value at the end of the message determines the style. Don't quote me, but I believe 01=single led, 02=full ring ableton style, and 03=pan style, where the center position is a single led. So changing a normally CC10 knob on channel 1 to ableton style rings would mean you want to send it the message: B0 18 02 (It's hexidecimal. Channel:controller or note #:value or velocity). |
Lenita Chieco 21.05.2010 | you need to find out what the midi cc/notes are for the the led rings (google it) then you need to program each individual led ring via traktors midi output feature and u will most likely need to calibrate the leds to work correctly once you are sending a signal to them.. painful to setup but rewarding... good luck |
