Using MIDI fighter mappings with other controllers? Posted on: 11.06.2010 by Quincy Rostran Hey guys, So is it possible to take a traditional drum controller (say an MPD24 or M-Audio Trigger Finger) and set the pads to send the same MIDI messages as the MIDI Fighter so you can use them with the MIDI Fighter mappings? Just curious. (If this is a dick question tantamount to "How do I pirate this software?" please let me know. I apologize.) | |

Quincy Rostran 14.06.2010 | I'll probably be doing this to my Trigger Finger. It's got 16 presets, and I figure I can program one of those presets to mirror the MIDI Fighter. |
Johnie Lytton 13.06.2010 | Yes it is possible, I have posted a thread in the midi fighter community
on how to do so with a padKONTROL however the same basic principals apply to any controller. You may have problems with LED feedback, but other than that, as long as your pads are sending the same midi notes and cc values, you will be all good. If you don't mind me asking, which controller were you planning on doing this to? Maybe someone has something a little more specific... http://www.djranking s.com/community /sho...l+midi+fighter There you are. Hope that helps! |
