I have bought a vestax 300 and really want to use it with Traktor pro however after following several posts on fixing the midi mappings etc and installing the mini.translator I have managed to get most functions working with vci300_TP1.tsi mappings however I cannot get the headphones to work ... I've checked the mappings section in preferences and they are setup to the PFL keys but I cannot get any sound from either deck. Any idea's? Thanks Chris | |

I checked the traktor installation and I am currently running traktor pro 1.2 and realised I didnt need the mini translator so uninstalled this and now something even more strange is happening ..... Every time I press the PLF button to CUE the headphones I get a "Ting" noise from my laptop and also other buttons on the DJ console also cause a "Ting" noise so not sure what is occuring. I believe my final attempt will be to create my own mappings if possible and if that doesnt work then I will just have to stick with Seranto Itch ................ One other thing I have noticed with the DJ controller is that when I plug it into my laptop I dont see it as a VCI 300 device and also a random number of the LED's light up (dim light). This goes away when I start itch but remains when I start Traktor - is my controller faulty? Thanks Chris |
| Nell Gomezgomez 24.03.2010 | The VCI-300 Headphone jack does not work natively in Windows OS. You will need to install ASIO4All to make it work. http://www.asio4all.com/ Also to get it recognized as a midi contriller you need to import one of the VCI-300 midi maps available on the site. |

I have read other posts and someone has also had a similar issue where I have plugged the VCI 300 in and although Traktor pro knows about the input channel and shows in the preferences ...... The VCI 300 does not show up on the MIDI settings in preferences - do I need to install some other drivers? I am in danger of sending this console back to the shop (reluctanlty) unless I can get this fixed. Thanks Chris |
