need help with spin setup windows 7

So finally got my vestax spin today. Needless to say I was pretty stoked. However I am struggling with the audio setup in traktor. Basically whenever I select SPIN from the drop down menu (SPIN 2 in 2 out) and go to output routing I only get 2 options, Speakers out 1 and speakers out 2. Not SPIN 1 2 3 4. Also the audio has a real lo-fi sound. I tried installing the typhoon driver from vestax website but it is WASPAI (sp ?) not asio. Im not sure how to change this windows 7.

If someone could give me a step by step audio set up that would be great.

+1. I use the Spin on both Mac and PC and you have to download the ASIO4ALL drivers. Google it. I also tried using the ASIO4TYPHOON but my results are the same as yours.

Dynamics, I assume you are referring to the Volume mix knob in the traktor interface itself. And I'm believeing you are right, as I assumed it was a hardware issue and didn't believe to check the panel settings on the software side. Nicely play sir! And here I was getting ready to take back my Spin I'll try that out when I get home from work toevening and let you know if it worked out.

Thanks for the assistance gentlemen (or ladies as the case may be, you never know).

***Edit, I just checked the Traktor manual and I will pretty much guarantee that you are right.

That's most likely because you have the Volume Mix knob turned towards the right. You want that knob turned all the way counter-clockwise. This will make it so that the headphones will only play what's being monitored.

hmm, sounds like you've got yourself quite the pickle there...dunno what you can do, mine is setup exactly like yours. You sure you don't just have both headphone cues turned on??

Anyone care to share how they have the Spin setup in Traktor Pro. In Audio Setup, I select Spin (4 in, 4 out), then in Output Routing I have Output Monitor set to 3 and 4, and Output Master as 1 and 2. The issue I'm having is that the master is ALWAYS playing in the headphones, even if I haven't set the monitor buttons.

wish I could help you out, unfortunately i use my spin on a mac, maybe send a personal message to Oldfashioned, who is the one who really began mapping the spin for traktor, i believe he uses his spin on a windows laptop.

edit: I found a new driver (ASIO4) from the vestax faq locate here: http://help.vestax.co.jp/en/detail.p..._url=86&cate=0

maybe try installing this driver?

here's the instructions for loading the map in traktor duo/pro http://help.vestax.co.jp/en/detail.p...url=141&cate=0

goodluck,
cheers,
