VCI 100 midi note problem / firmware update
VCI 100 midi note problem / firmware update Posted on: 11.08.2010 by Wendy Heckenkamp hi.i have some questions on the midi-signals coming out of the vci. In an ( earlier post ) i asked for help, but over 100 members didn't seem to know what to say. anyway... i experimented with bomes midi translator and noticed that the firmware 1.3 (and 1.2) send some similar notes for each button on the sites of deck a and deck b. every button on site of deck A sends out: 90 6B 7F => note B7 active, with vel.127 every button on site of dcck B sends out: 90 6C 7F => note C8 active, with vel.127 would bother much, if this wasn't the same signals which the "three-state-button" of the fx-section sends. B7 on state:"led on top", and C8 on state:"led on bottom" does anybody know why the vci is doing this ? is there a reason i don't see? The two midi notes do NOT effect the buttons and knobs of the fx-section. These are hardwired. they change their notes with the button-state (top, middle, bottom = 3 different sets of notes). if ANYBODY has ANY IDEA, I'd really appreciate any suggestions for workarounds. Even help for rewriting the firmware. which, i guess, shouldn't be too hard, hence i only need to delete some signals ?!? | |
