Ciara Cuttill 17.08.2010 | there is a way to use your internal soundcard and external soundcard and make it believe that it is one card using a freeprog called asio4all BUT ... there are latency issues and it takes up ram ... better to get the audio2dj but its okay to give a shot |
Vernie Beharry 17.08.2010 | @BCskotty Yeah. . I know the feeling. . . I tried using a Behringer UCA202. . .I gave in and bought a Audio 2 DJ. This thing works pretty damn well for an entry level controller. This is my first venture into Traktor, and so far i am really impressed (even though I'm using LE). And what I saw (from another member here), I might just go do an arcade mod just for the hell of it! |
Venetta Genett 12.08.2010 | Thanks for your reply. The sound card indeed has 2 RCA for the red and white and a volume button. It also has a separate input for headphones but when I plug the headphones in it cancels out the speakers. I will just get a new sound card with 4 RCA outputs. Thank you so much. This has been a frustrating experience so far but I know it will be worth it in the end. |
Kristina Juhnke 12.08.2010 | Sorry for not responding fast have been busy past week. Well you have a sound card alright, but you do not have the right type. That looks like a single channel output. Looks like 2 RCAs from the picture and a Volume nob. You need a Sound Card that has RCA outputs to go to say receiver but you also need a monitor output so you can cue your tracks. I have a DJ iO by numark. This came with my old package i bought years ago and has lasted me fine. It is light and very portable for the mobile DJ. Does lack some things like being able to hook up Timecode but for a basic midi dj controller setup it will do. Anolther plus price is cheap from its competition. Numark sells a DJ Studio Sound card i believe that supports time code but Native Instruments have the audio4/8 sound card thats great too. |
Venetta Genett 09.08.2010 | Hello, I am trying to set up a soundcard for my numark mixtrack. I want to be able to cue tracks in the headphones while mixing. I cannot accomplish this. The soundcard is an external soundblaster x-fi surround 5.1. Can you please tell me how to set it up so I can cue tracks? I don't see the headphones as an option to select in the output |
Yasmine Kolanda 22.07.2010 | needs an external soundcard |
Alejandrina Diop 21.07.2010 | Does this thing need an external soundcard... or does it have a soundcard? |
Kristina Juhnke 20.07.2010 | I feel the faders are way better than my faders on my total control. As jog wheels I never had touch sensitive jog wheels, I believe they have a plastic feeling to them. I might solve that with some type of jog grip but not to sure if it will interfere with the touch sensitivity. So far I got some of the mapping done on it. This is my first attempt at adapting the mapping controls. I have the Juggle Modes 1-8 working Fader FX Mode is still bugging. Only other problem i have with the controller is a lack of knobs. I feel if they took the total control knob section and stuck it with the touch sensitive jog wheels and have four buttons below. Other than that its a great beginners controller for its price. P.s if anyone else has this controller and they know mappings feel free to contact me if you want to help out mapping since Im not to good with modifiers. |
Yasmine Kolanda 18.07.2010 | What do you believe about the jog wheels and sliders? I played with one at a Guitar Center today and the jogwheels annoyingly slipped under my fingers and the sliders seemed way too resistant. Or are all beginner DJ controllers like that? |
Kristina Juhnke 13.07.2010 | Thanks thats a good idea ill tell you how it comes out. |
Corine Kasman 13.07.2010 | Could you start with the DJTT mapping for the VCI-100? Then just midi learn the buttons you want to assign those commands to. The LEDs will be all screwed up at the beginning, but you can fix those later. Phil. |
Kristina Juhnke 13.07.2010 | I just received the MIXTRACK in my mail today. Ive been messing with it for few hours. Some of the mapping is messed up due to numark but I am looking for someone that would be interested in helping me map this controller. I know how to map basic buttons and faders but more along the lines of a Fader FX mode and Juggle modes. I have an Idea of a layout i just need someone to help me make it happen. |
