VCI-100SE Training advise

Hello I just received my VCI-100SE it still running on 1.3 firmware.
I am planing on updating to 1.4 but I can not wait to play with it.

So now I was wondering if it is smarter to wait with learning till it runs on 1.4 or are the basics the same?

The layout has changed slightly in Tpro 1.2.4. In preferences click on 'Controller Manager', then select your device in the drop down menu at the top. To map a new command click the 'IN' button and select from the drop down menu then use 'learn' to identify the control, for an LED output use the 'OUT' menu.

Hope this helps.

If you mean by pushing a button and cutting them out it is possible, but not in any of the current mappings. You would have to modify an existing mapping or create your own that did that. You can also achieve the same thing by turning the high, mid or low EQ knobs.

I have tried the following steps, but I can not recreate the effect.

  1. Selected the VCI-100SE controller
  2. Sub menu Add in->tempo->tempo
  3. Button Learn
  4. response from Ch01.Note.C#3

It becomes unclear how to fine-tune.
How to set the sensitivity of the joke wheel and how to set the pitch range.

Is there some who has file I can import?

This might be a silly question, but is it Traktor Pro you're running? I myself only have Traktor LE at the moment, and there is no midi mapping panel in that version. Also, if it is indeed Traktor Pro, and you have the latest version, there is a chance the video is outdated and the panel is in a different place.

Perhaps someone with actual knowledge can fill in here?

Edit: tadaa!

I just sow the tutorial http://www.djranking s.com/2009/01/3...r-pro-sampler/ about scratching. Where the jock wheel controls the pitch I have downloaded the latest TSI file but I don't know how to do this

I have found the corresponding tutorial, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3rra...ayer_embedded#

But I can not find the midi mapping panel.

Are there other good tutorials about scratching and are there special record to use?

I have search under home->vci100 but good not find any other tutorials.
The first 2 tutorials I was wondering if I have skipped any other cool functions.
I like to learn how to cut Hi Mid and Lows and it would also be nice to learn how to scratch

Tips are welcome
