If In-port/out-port are different will same Ch in matter?

Pretty sure I'm in the clear but I'm believeing about picking up a second controller and I want to confirm before I purchase. I have a Stanton scs3 running darouter utilizing ch's 1-11 with in/out pointing at darouter. If I add a Numark Total Control with in/outs pointing at it the fact they're both sending midi messages on the sans channel won't affect the opposites tsi cause it won't "hear" it correct?

Thanks

the channel for the midi signals can be the same if the ins and outs are different, so you should be ok.
