I have TSP v1.2.7 running on win7 and a Kontrol X1, I need help figuring out how to map my X1 to have one knob control all EQ bands with full EQ kills at the -100% and nowhere above.

I have successfully macro mapped the EQ bands to the topmost knob, but I can not figure out how to get the knob to "EQ kill" at the bottom (-100%)

Is this even possible? A few people have told me it is theoretically possible, but no one has been able to describe how.

Please help me, I would truly appreciate it.

Also, that method does not describe how to tell Traktor to turn OFF the EQ kill at a value above -100%.

I did however make a mild improvement (still not functional) by changing the type of controller to "rotary/fader" with a rotary sensitivity of 40%. I then set up a EQ kill with a condition to only initiate if modifier value is 0, set interaction mode "direct" and a set value to 1, and mapped another EQ kill with a condition to only initiate if modifier value is 1, set interaction mode "direct" and set value to 0. This ALMOST works, but it doesn't.

Can someone actually TEST their theory before telling me? That is why I said "A few people have told me it is theoretically possible" because no one has said "I did this ... and it worked"

Thanks for the help, but as you might understand this whole process is more than a little frustrating.
a few tweaks and that theory does work will sort out a mapping 2mora and post in this thread read my book for more mapping tips

I was trying to do a similar thing for my Numark Total Control. While you are saying the rotary modifier is just fiddling around alot, try using around 23%. I use about there on faders and knobs both and it seems to work. another option that I use is to set the % then watch the modifier number... When you hit your point you want to have the modifier kill the eq, then when it changes again you can set it to turn back on...

It really does work for almost any knob, or fader. I unfortunately have to say that alot of the time it might take some fiddling with the modifier values so you can get the right type of function you want.

i see your problem, and try to help as far as i can:

try to use bomes and have it triggering a second midi note, when your poti has the value zero.
this should be possible with glovePIE, too.
