Traktor Scratch Pro 2 Controller

Hi

I currently have traktor scratch pro running with 2 Midi Fighters and an Ecler Evo 5 mixer, this gives me great happiness due to the versatility of the effects routing and also the midi compatibility of my mixer... Im looking into my options for an additional controller and could do with some help in the light of the new Pro 2 software coming out...

Should I buy a:

1. midi fighter for use with the sample decks and also to aid cueing on the vinyl

2. traktor kontrol x1

3. Denon DNS2000

Or can anyone suggest something else?

I wonder if it'll make glitches easier to predict with the new waveforms, the most annoying thing at the moment is not being able to tell if your going to hit a bum repeat! My favourite combo at the moment is combining the roll function on the midi fighter with the gater to chop it out... hopefully being able to see the beat will bring visual accuracy that you dont get with the monotone waveforms

should just need a double tap of the arcade button.

If I buy an X1 and use it alongside my Midi Fighters, when I alter the effects that are mapped to the Midi Fighters using the X1 (i.e. effect units 2, 3, and 4,) will they instantly revert back to the required effect... or will there be a double tap of the arcade buttons... or worse still a nasty glitch which leaves me wanting to bang my head against a brick wall because it cannot be cured lol?

Hmm,

Im believeing maybe a sample deck and loop recorder custom midi fighter might fill this gap... although there may be an issue using different tsi's and 3 midi fighters... I still havent got the LED's working propperly on the deckalised mapping :/

So many options lol

I doubt it, at least any time soon. There's already so much going on at the moment with the new interfaces and new software.

Still, it would be nice.

I really feel the X1 wins out due to its versatility, and epic integration with Traktor...

Had a look at the other two controllers and they seem more production orientated, so that really leaves the X1 as front runner.

And don't really fit in with turntables that have 2 start buttons.

Yeah, but they look a bit limited

or dicers, if you're mainly interested in cues or 1 shot samples.

Yeah, the more I look at it, the more it makes sense ;D

Sounds to me like you've got plenty of buttons (2xmidifighters). Maybe get something with some knobs on?

UC-33e? BCR2000?

I agree with the skeleton

X1 from that list. Ideal for sample decks and cues.
