Midi Mapping Turntables/CDJs to Traktor
Midi Mapping Turntables/CDJs to Traktor Posted on: 11.05.2011 by Brinda Sirman First off sorry if anyone is getting annoyed with me, i post almost everyday but you guys just provide great info.So heres my question there are cdj's and turntables out there that have midi capabilities and im curious what you can do with that. For example The numark cdx's have midi in and out, would i be able to map these to be the jogs in traktor via midi. Timecode will work fine for these guys but im believeing if you could use midi it would be a cleaner system and wouldnt have to worry about timecode cd's skipping or having problems etc. Any ideas or anyone used there cdjs or turntables via midi as jog wheels/platters in traktor. Also would the extra buttons on cdjs like play or loop be able to be mapped to traktor if the cdj has midi. Let me know | |

Ralph Alderette 12.05.2011 | midi provides low low resolution compared to timecode, in terms of wheel movement. timecode is pretty advanced now so you shouldnt have any problems.. |
Ralph Alderette 12.05.2011 | denon dn-s1200 denon s3700 a bunch of cdjs can do that but the ones above have "hybrid" mode.. built in soundcard and built in timecode, no cd. |
