Mixtrack Pro Question for Effects

Is there a way to "shift" the effects being altered by the effect buttons and knobs by using the pitch bend buttons?

As in, if I have the 1st effect selected (say its filter) and I max it out, then I want to move on to the 2nd effect (say Reverb) and use the knobs for that as well, am I able to use the pitch bend button to make the knobs control Reverb instead of Filter?

I read it and I believe that Action Example 1 is what I had in mind. Is that correct?

Also is there a way to go past 8 modifiers?
