S4 xoned and sampled mapping for TPro2
S4 xoned and sampled mapping for TPro2 Posted on: 28.05.2011 by Kena Neukomm HiI've been working on this mapping for quite a while, but it seems finished. So please give it a spin and report any hiccups. This helps me weeding out potential bugs. oh yeah, positive feedback is welcome to the mapping controls 4-band eq, 2 fx-units and the possibility to individually set a trackdeck to sample deck and control it as such. (1) fx units work as in the default mapping. the same applies to the normal trackdeck layout and buttons (also the shift functions), but with a few exeptions -pitch offset buttons : scroll trough the advanced deck panel views -pitch offset buttons + shift : hide advanced deck panel -move knob : beatjump -move knob + shift : beatjump size select (as default set to loop length) -move knob push + shift : change cue/loop move mode in the advanced deck hotcue buttons 1-4 lite up blue when a cue point is stored, when a loop is stored they lite up green. the sample buttons have been mapped to hotcue 5 to 8 and lit up when a cue point or loop has been stored. (to empty hold shift and push the cue-button) (2) the mixer section also works as in the default mapping, but with 3 exceptions: - eq knobs : hi->hi , mid->mid hi , low->mid low, filter->low - shift + monitor-cue button : track deck / sample deck this works for every individual deck. - shift + browse knob : scroll trough favorites, this works as well in browser layout/mode (3) sample deck layout -sample buttons : play sample/loop -cue button : trigger/retrigger lite up green with loop in slot, blue with a single shot sample -shift + sample button : empty slot -play button : group play -cue button : group trigger (4)To easily load samples or loops I had to remap my computer keyboard but since it has an azerty-layout, I had to leave out the slot load mappings but I suggest the following in the generic keyboard mapping add the sample deck control "load from list" to sample decks (sample deck 1 stands for deck A, 2/B, 3/C and 4/D) Q-W-E-R for deck A, U-I-O-P for deck B A-S-D-F for deck C, J-K-L-; for deck C loading from track decks A to sample deck C and trackdeck B to sample deck D ZXCV for deck C from deck A N M , . for deck D from B (5) I did add the following on the keyboard - arrows : up/down recordlist left/right favorites - control+arrow up/down layout select - shift + arrow up/down tree select up/down - shift + arrow left/right close/expand tree map - numbers 1 to 5 deck size A/B - shift + numbers 1 to 5 deck size C/D - cmd + enter full screen toggle (6) When you started TPro2, push the left and right shift simultaneously, and hit the left shift again to reset every deck and modifier. If you wish to adjust this mapping, the modifier values stand for the folowing. -mod 1 to 4 deck A to D, (value 0 track deck value 1 sample deck) -mod 5 (value 0 both shifts unpressed, value 1 left shift active, 4 right shift active, value 2 browse layout is on, value 3 both shifts have been activated simultaneously. mod 6 (value 0 focus on deck A, value 1 focus on deck C) mod 7 (value 0 focus on deck B, value 1 focus on deck D) modifier 6 and 7 are mapped this way to keep the led's working like in the default mapping. Modifier 8 remains free for use A final statement remember the "left shift+right shift then left shift combo" at start up ! Enjoy ! | |
