deck focus mapping/qquestions!
Posted on: 08.06.2011 by Lucilla Cerini
hey guys, im looking into making my own type of midi fighter mapping for my maschine, but i have concluded that the most organized way of having a ton of effects, is to have like a deck focus row like the midi fighter has, a row of buttons where if i press it, it will show me led status that deck "a" for instance is the focus, and when i de select it the led will turn off. are there any indicators within the software that shows which deck is the focus? any help or advice i could get here would be great thanks guys

pull what off? the changing banks/decks or what it actually does? a lot of it is just mapping multiple items to single buttons - like load fx + enable fx + enable fx unit in mixer etc - so you dont need to press much to get a nice result - hence the name i presume

the 4 banks mode switching is internal to the midifighter - depending on which top row button is pressed last determines what note values the remaining 3 buttons send out...

the very short answer is you can't easily without extra software.... the slightly longer answer is someone else asked the very same question only about a day or so and we came up with a solution using banks in mashine. the 'search' button is your friend
