Help! Deformed beat grid!
Help! Deformed beat grid! Posted on: 14.06.2011 by Stephania Kanai So sometimes when I play a song the beat grid all of a sudden is deformed. What I mean is that some beats are longer than others in the grid. Also it doesnt matter if I have already locked the beat grid on the song before. It does not happen regularly, so I cannot figure out what the reason for this is. Is there some menu option that I need to click or did I mess something up with my mapping? Please help before I go insane. | |

Leeanna Ayla 15.06.2011 | Yeah you have to physically put the beat grid on it or tell it do it in preferences by ticking the box for set Beat-Grid when detecting BPM. While you're there uncheck store beat marker as hot cue and that will free up one of your cues. |
Stephania Kanai 15.06.2011 | Ah, ok, I understand, thanks. |
Tatum Ansaldo 15.06.2011 | Well you do want that option ticked generally. If the beat markers are at irregular intervals then as PJ said, it's because there's no grid and it just puts markers on the transients. |
Stephania Kanai 15.06.2011 | Yeah, I did. I am believeing whether it has something to do with the analyse beat grid on analyze bpm option, or what its called. |
Leeanna Ayla 14.06.2011 | Have you seen it happen on a song that previously looked okay? It sounds like the song doesn't have a beat grid. |
