Ableton Live DJs/Controller mapping specialists: Controller mapping programs

Hey guys,

I've been Djing with Ableton Live for a couple of months now and I've finally got my set up the way I want it (external mixing + MPD 24). However, I'm in the process of streamlining the DJing experience and I could use some advice.

I'd like to map my MPD pads to do certain keystrokes that can open the browser, scroll through it and select a song for a certain track. I was wondering what program I would need for this to work assuming that I have a very basic knowledge of MIDI. What program would be easiest and best to use for this sort of situation? I've heard of a few programs that can do this but I'd just like to make sure it would work for my applications (Using live and MPD 24)

I'm running a Macbook Pro w/ OSX Snow Leopard btw.

Thanks for the help!

Basically it removes alot of the limitations that are imposed on us by ableton and the APC's Regular "APC mode".

Bomes = Midi Translator

Put one thing in and it comes out as something else (or lots of something elses).

MidiKey = Basic Midi to Keystroke

Oh and I believe you can swap pages between two diff softs and have them autoupdate when you switch back and forth between them
Thanks Deevey! Wow so wait...using Bomes will I be able to have two functions for a knob/fader with a modifier? How about banks? Let's say I have an MPD 24 (which I do) will I be able to set the banks to also change the functions of the knobs along with the pads? Or am I just believeing of the impossible?

Believe you can do this with Bomes and Max as well, but i'm cheap :P
Oh yeah I actually just downloaded it and started using it. This thing is awesome! Btw what's the difference between Midistroke and Bomes apart from the cost? I mean, if midistroke already exists, what does Bomes have that Midistroke doesn't?
