Kontrol X1 lights aren't turning on after custom mapping.
Posted on: 02.07.2011 by Alphonso Domanowski
So I just finished my first custom mapping ever on my Kontrol X1. All the buttons work great. There are no problems with the triggers themselves, but the only thing I can't seem to figure out is why none of the lights are turning on. The controller just stays dark. The only button that lights up when I press it is the hotcue.

I looked into preferences for the light settings but nothing's different than it was before. It's still 100% and 10%.

Has anyone else had this problem before? and if so how can I correct this?
I'm just worried about being able to see it in the dark.

Thanks.

just click on "Add Out..." instead of "Add In..." in traktor...
Awesome. Thank you. I had no idea about that.

Really appreciate the help everyone!

What? Unless the Native mapping differs from midi, this is the opposite of what you want to do for that behavior.

I had this "problem" at first as well, im pretty sure it's because you didn't map them. Also, when you map them, make sure you use the 'invert' option if you would rather the light stay off and turn on when you press the button.

Do you have the outputs mapped? Try unplugging and plugging it back in.
