Numark NS6 with Traktor 2
Numark NS6 with Traktor 2 Posted on: 06.07.2011 by Samuel Rodericks My ns6 is coming tomorrow, Im planning on using it with traktor 2.. now iam aware that traktor 2 cant fully be mapped to ms6 so ive bought an akai lpd8 to map the 2 FX channels, using six knobs and pad button to map the fx control and on/off buttons and the remaining two knobs and pads to make up for the missing filter knobs on the ns6.Now im a complete noob when it comes to tsi files and MIDI mappings, I've already seen a thread which has FX mappings for the lpd8 but im concerned about the prospect of running both the ns6 and lpd8 and fully utilizing traktor 2 and all its features. I'll really appreciate it if anyone can provide any guidance on how to get this whole setup perfectly integrated and up and running or even give me a starting point which i can use to make my own tsi files suited to the setup i have in mind. | |

| Samuel Rodericks 10.07.2011 | got the ns6 up and running with traktor thanks to these guys: http://www.uniquesquared.com/blog/29.../#comment-1937 DSMIT, dude.. it would be SERIOUSLY helpfull if you could find those mappings.. ITCH is good with the ns6, but its sort of a bitch when it comes to beatmatching and gridding. Some tracks can be a pretty massive pain in the ass when it comes to beatmatching, disabling you as a dj to focus on other things. It's working pretty well with traktor, the eq quality sounds alot different though, dont know why. |

| Veda Zarella 11.07.2011 | hi I use a Numark Mixdeck and a LPD8 side by side with traktor2. I use my lpd8 only for effects, even though there is an effect section on the mixdeck, which is pretty if not completely similar to the one of the ns6. I can upload my midi .tsi file that i made for my lpd. It will be up in a while. cheers *edit* I can't find where i stored the .tsi file, i don't believe i saved it |

| Samuel Rodericks 07.07.2011 | Yeah, usb ports isnt really an issue.. im just a complete MIDI noob so im kinda worried. I guess it'll take me a few days to get the setup up and running. Was going to buy the s4, still believeing i shouldve though.. but the ns6's jogs and built quality won me over.. also heard the s4 doesn't have complete EQ kill.. big turnoff for me, though i used one at a gig recently.. sounds fucking PHAT. Gonna get my hands on the ns6 and lpd8 toevening . fucking stoked. |

| Samuel Rodericks 07.07.2011 | yeah i'm aware of that, been browsing the net for a while about this.. the ns6 mappings are available on numarks website, the only problem i can see myself having is running both the lpd8 and ns6 with traktor2. |
