Basic Sample Decks Kontrol X1

Hi, I really didn't like the add-on mapping that comes with Tpro2 for the sample decks, so I've decided to make my own. Attached you'll find a BASIC mapping which by far isn't fully covering all functions, but gives a pretty good starting point for adding your personal flavour.

here's a rundown on the functions:

I've made a distinction between the top part of the X1 and the bottom part. The top part is mapped for controlling the volume and filters on all 8 sample decks. The bottom part is mapped for triggering and loading all 8 sample decks.

Top part:
  • the left column of filter buttons toggle between deck C and D
  • the first column of knobs controls the volume of the slots
  • the second column of knobs controls the filter amount
  • the right column of buttons toggle the filter

bottom part:
  • the first column of buttons loads the samples from the deck. shift will load them from the list. hotcue will clear the sample slot (deck C).
  • the second column of buttons plays the samples. when playing they will retrigger the sample. shift will stop playback (deck C).

the third and forth column will do the same as the first and second, but of course for deck D.

I hope this will give you a good starting point and saves you some serious basic mapping! there isn't much intelligence in this mapping just a lot of time consuming repetitive mapping.
