Mapping buttons to Traktors X-Fader

Hi DJTT,

Basically what i'm trying to do is see if I can cheat at scratching using my EKS Otus controller by setting a button to move the X - Fader into the middle for as long as I hold it down and then having it snap back to wherever it was previously.

I thought this would be relatively simple, map a button to the X -Fader at value 0.5 and set interaction mode to hold. But unfortunately for some reason there is no hold option when mapping to the X Fader which is highly annoying.

Any ideas on alternatives or ways around this? Im probably missing something obvious, cheers!

easier to do what u want by leaving the xfader in the middle and assigning buttons to the levels instead so that press=100% and release=0%

You could set an inverted command to the same button with the value 0 or 1. That would move the x-fader back to one side when you release the button, but it would only work on one side or the other.

you should try this with modifiers:
your Crossfade button (CB) acts as a Modifier(#1):

Modifier: CB -> M1=1 on hold
Crossfader: CB -> Crossfader to 0.5 condition M1=1
Crossfader: CB -> Crossfader to 0 condition M1=0 + invert

i just made this up, so please test it and report back (+ use a second Modifier to determine it the Crossfader jumps back to deck A or B)
