S2: Move FX to Jog, Make FX Knobs Sample Vol?
Posted on: 02.01.2012 by Eddie Maina
I'm trying to gain some extra control over my samples... any ideas?

I was believeing that it may be a good start to simply take the original mapping and do the following:

Make the jog wheel FX.
Make the FX knobs volume (press button for filter)

Any ideas how to go about doing this? *note. i'm aware the original mapping is not editable (lame NI).

thanks. i'm not sure it possible to deactivate the knob even with a modifier in HID mode (i believe that's the default mode)... it works fine in midi mode though...

thanks for the response. actually, if i can shift+ the fx knobs to be sample deck volume and shift+ cue to be monitor volume would be awesome... i can set it up but i can't seem to not have the dry/wet knob from moving when i shift+...

I started by downloading the DJTT S2 mapping and made my modifications to it. As far as the modifications you want to make, I'm not near my Traktor setup to give any tips on that but I've got a feeling the DJTT mapping would be a good start as the platters are already mapped to the FX. I'm pretty sure you'd just have to delete the FX controls from the knobs and remap them to the sample volumes. I could be way off base with that, I haven't really dug too much into the DJTT mapping to see how everything is set up as I was just concerned about getting control over 8 cue points.
