BOSS Dr Groove DR-202 mapping.
Posted on: 11.02.2012 by Dovie Notaro
Hello all,

I put together a mapping for my old DR-202 drum machine I picked up back in 2002 for Traktor 2 pro that maps two of the working midi knobs (Rev/Delay & Flanger) and the 13 pads on it as well. With the 'Roll' and 'Bass' led lit pads, the pads effectively have a toggle to expand the pads to 3 banks worth of them.

I'm mostly using them to control sample decks C & D and other controls that my X1 is not configured to handle directly (Filter and Filter-On).

Anyone else interested in this mapping? I can go into some further details on what I have assigned or some suggestions as to what to use all the pads for in Traktor 2 pro.

I used to use my DR-202 with Mixvibes. Those pads are really nice.

I've thought about selling mine for a while... They often go for

Someone pointed me to the 'instant gratification' mapping, so I'm going to mod that so I can use it on 'bank 2' on the machine. That still leaves me with 1 bank left.

Wow, I feel very lucky for picking mine up off ebay for $37 back in 2002. The pads are very nice, especially considering that you can't get a Nano for that price and the pads are better than that.

I almost forgot about the 202 until I saw someone rocking it out on youtube.
