Hortencia Kasselman 22.03.2012 | Yeah I totally agree. First of all it makes you aware and understand all the possibilities that Traktor gives. I learned so many things and new features in the last week. The point is that DJing is not only more comfortable with a customized mapping, I also feel much more creative than before. And of course with nice combos you can do things that you were not even able to handle before. Aaaand - it |

Leoma Larouche 17.01.2014 | I will add that with Launchpad you'll want to uncheck Blend. Blend is only useful if your controller is able to smoothly transition from one color to the next, which the Launchpad is not. I started a new thread here explaining in detail what the Blend checkbox does. |

Hortencia Kasselman 22.03.2012 | Aaaaaaah! Now I got it. Yeah! Thank you very much for this explanation. Well I want to use only Traktor because I run a 32 bit Windows and I lack a lot of performance. And as I am not a tech hero at all I want to keep it as basic as possible. Some things for me are pretty clear, but some other, esp. like output mapping and some issues with modifiers (esp. conditions) confuse me a bit. But so far I was able to map and implement all the functions I wanted to do and the mapping works really great. It |

Hortencia Kasselman 23.03.2012 | Shame on me, but I got a stupid noobie question. Again. I map directly on Traktor as I use Windows 7. I can |

Chasidy Heckenbach 22.03.2012 | it's worth getting your head around traktor mapping, tho i do believe i've forgotten quite a bit now i don't really use it - and didn't get half as deep into it as some people on this community . being able to create your own mappings that do exactly what u want is very cool anyway... |

Chasidy Heckenbach 22.03.2012 | yep - because the controller range hits max earlier on so it maps to a different midi output. so the first one would be 12% of the max value and the 2nd one 35% of the max midi value. so u get a value of 3 (i believe) for the first one and 11 for the second one. tho according to my notes 3 would be hi red and 11 would be flashing red - doesn't quite make sense? unless he was using flashing colors... also not sure why the midi range is inverted with a max of 0 and min of 32. i haven't tried mapping OUT's just within traktor for ages tho so could be missing something. u can always use something like midiox to check what midi is actually being output. |

Marybeth Vengoechea 28.02.2012 | I have tried all weekend zestoi and cant figure out flashing LEDs or one button in 2 states of colour. I even tried through xtreme mapping and it seems the same as the traktor learn facility, dont know the benefits of it yet. Can someone post a basic .tsi on here so I can have a look and see what I am doing wrong. Cheers |
Marybeth Vengoechea 20.02.2012 | Cheers Zestoi I will give it a try at the weekend as I am away with work at the moment. I have already got xtreme mapping from the app store, just not had time to use it yet. Will let you know how I get on once ive started playing with it. I managed to work out all the colours and modifiers etc ok so shouldn't be too tricky once I understand the pattern if you know what I mean. |

Marybeth Vengoechea 20.02.2012 | This is really usefull info. I have just partially made a mapping for my launchpad to use with my mac and kontrol s4. I had just worked this out but one thing I cant do is work out how to get the pads to flash? Can someone try and explain please. Also I can get colours on or off but cant get colours on one pad to change ie red for off and green for on. Is this possible? I am not using any other software just mapping straight from Traktor. Thanks in advance. |
Chasidy Heckenbach 31.10.2011 | cool info - very useful if mapping direct from traktor. most colors also have a 'mid' color as well as high and low, and every color can also be made to 'flash' as well, tho u need to send an extra message first to enable the flashing colors. there's also an 'amber' which i actually prefer to the orange. this is my list of just the midi values needed for all the colors: http://midimasher.djism.com/lua/lib/launchpad.lua |
Randell Juna 30.10.2011 | fantastic!! I was looking for this info for last few weeks ty very much!! |
