line faders as pitch faders

Hello DJTT,

I was believeing about buying a xone:k2 just because the fact that you can map everything to it, but there is one thing that i really don't know (i'm not a traktor mapping expert). So my question is that can i map the line faders on the k2 to work as pitch faders so at 50% it is at 0 and if i go up or down it simulates the pitch control. I know that the controller has no center click but i can get used to it.

thanks

+1 to the behringer PL-1's. i have 4 of the much-maligned djtech cdj101's that are small, have excellent high resolution touch sensitive jogs and long throw 14bit pitch fader. the first two were given to me by an awesome community member and the next pair i picked up on ebay brand new for 20gbp each and yep - i thought they were that good that i could use another couple... they *only* give you deck control tho as the only other buttons they have are play, cue and a pushbutton encoder which i use for track browsing.

wait for the behringer, it shouldn't be too far off, but 7bit midi is fine for pitch control as long as you keep the pitch range at or below 6%... I haven't had my hands on one but have a xone 1d, the faders on that are incredibly smooth, which is good for volume but not pitch as you usually want a little resistance so you have less chance of accidently knocking it especially on a device with controls in such close proximity to one another.

Thanks for the reply.
Ii'm really looking for a high resolution pitch fader controller which is modular, but there is none i could find other than the denon dn-sc2000.

Yes you can. Mind you, the resolution will be regular midi (128 steps) so unless you set the range to something low it beatmatching won't be easy an easy task.
