Traktor Mapping Question!
Traktor Mapping Question! Posted on: 02.07.2012 by Arline Receveur Hey DJTechTools! So I recently got a novation twitch and boy is it a piece of gear. I recently tried it with traktor and it works as well as a traktor controller as it does for serato. Most things are mapped but I have a little problem I need help with. The twitch traktor mapping doesnt have a mapped button for the track gain and what I wanted to do was make the tempo button's on the 2 decks the gain but when shift is held and tempo button is changed it will go back to moving the tempo. Now I know this is a easy fix but ive never played with the mappings and would rather get someone else's help so I dont fuck anything up. Also would it be better just using the auto-gain thing that traktor has in its settings? | |

Kellie Myrum 02.07.2012 | Let's say your shift modifier is M1=1/interaction mode-Hold. Gain control set to modifier condition M1=1 Tempo control set to modifier condition M1=0 This way, control over tempo will be stopped/blocked as long as you are holding your shift button. If you don't find this info useful, please attach your mapping in reply or send it to me so I could map it for you. |
Leeanna Ayla 02.07.2012 | I use auto gain almost exclusively. Does the Twitch have a shift button already mapped and you just want to change what the buttons do when it's pressed? If it does you just need to see what that modifier is. Open up the controller manager and press shift. In the top row where it says modifier state you'll see one of the zero's change, probably to a 1 but it could be a 2. Next you would need to map what you want the buttons to do and set the modifier on that control. So if the zero next to the 1 in modifier state changes to a 1 you would set M1 value to 1 for the control control you wanted to work with shift pressed. After you do this you'll need to find the control that works when shift is not pressed and change the M1 value to 0. If the modifier isn't mapped check these tutorials out. http://deafstarr.blogspot.com/2011/0...er-basics.html http://deafstarr.blogspot.com/2011/0...modifiers.html |
robin loo 02.07.2012 | i use autogain, but sometimes it's a little bit messed up, so it's nice to have knobs for correction.. as far as the mapping goes: search on the blog for modifier mapping and combine it with this: https://traktorbible.com/articles/ma...nd-finder.aspx |
