Mapping an Ipad??? Posted on: 11.08.2012 by Alona Durfee So I recently picked up and Ipad 2 and was wondering if there were any app that allowed you to map controls? like for instance I have an Mpd 26 that i have mapped out to control loops/effects n such in VDJ and Serato...is there an app that would give me that type of control so i dont have to to haul my 26 everywhere? would the mpc fly app allow me to do this??? | |

Tania Somppi 11.08.2012 | Yes You need an app like MidiTouch, TouchOSC, Lemur etc, then create or download a template (control surface) for the app and download or create a mapping for the DJ software that works with the template. I'm not VDJ or Serato user but I believe they both have dedicated iPad apps now. I've used MidiTouch and TouchOSC on my iPad1 with Traktor both via camera connection kit connected to USB to midi cables and via a wireless connection without any issues. I dunno about the connectivity of the MPC fly, I'm not seeing how you would connect it to the DJ software (after a quick glade at their site). |
