Looking to pay for help with mapping project
Posted on: 06.09.2012 by Valentine Hesch
All,

I am struggling to map my VCI 380 controller to traktor. I am willing to pay for help. I don't want someone to just do it for me. My goal is to end with the mapping I wish and have the skills to do it myself in the future. At this point I am mainly struggling with modifier conditions. Also there is some weirdness where some of the VCI 380 buttons work with a mapping command and some don't.

please contact me directly [email protected]. The ideal person has a great deal of experience with both tractor and this/ or another similar vestax controller. I am in southern california, but we can work remotely via screen sharing too.

I hope this is the right location for this request.

Hey BradCee, you are right to say that VCI-380 buttons are sending different midi notes depending on is shift pressed or not. I found same concept at pioneer DDJ-s1 controller for which I have started traktor mapping before two weeks.

As for performance grid buttons. If those can't send midi it is likely that Vestax have made those buttons to act as page selectors for eight pads matrix by firmware (like maschine). It means - depend of which of four buttons is pressed it might send different notes so you can spare another modifier or two when mapping pads as four banks of controls.

Does this mean that it is not fully midi mappable?

Why would vestax do this?

Any suggestions?

I know a bit about settin' modifiers and shit but my camera's mic isn't working so the way you're looking to discuss to mapper isn't gonna work tho...
Thanks for the response. Hopefully I will hear from others in this community .
