Akai LPD8 Traktor Soft Takeover issue
Posted on: 04.01.2011 by Bertie Littrel
I use an Akai LPD8 to controller Traktor when I am using the internal mode and internal mixer.

I use one of the knobs on the Akai to control the volume of the fader of deck A and then I switch the program to pad2 so that I can use the same knob to control the volume fader of deck C. I dont want the fader of deck c to jump to the location of where I had left it on deck A. I want to have to turn the knob until it reaches the relative position of deck C and then be able to use the knob accordingly. I have ticked the box soft takover but it seems to completely ignore this function.

Have you any ideas of what I can do to make it work? Ive been up for hours trying to figure it out and no luck

thanks in advance for your help!

did you ever get anywhere with this?

I have an lpd8 I'm trying use to map an FX "super knob", but I want the Dry/Wet to only go up to 50%.

is that what the relative option does? no matter what I change or set, it always goes straight from 0 to 100% over the full sweep of the knob...

HerbStrike that would be amazing thank you I have been hunting everyday this week for a solution. Even Native Instruments haven't got back to me with any answers, so fingers crossed you can work it out!

I Spoke to Native Instruments. I believe the problem is one with Traktor, they are doing tests and getting back to. Like I said before it would be great to hear from anyone who doesn't have this problem!

I have that same issue with my LPD-8, especially when using things like the EQ filters. Can't say i know how to fix it.

It would also be good to know if anyone else doesn't have this problem? Im wondering if I missed a software update that might have fixed it. In which case can I install previous updates with out messing things up?
