Torq Xponent Extended Mapping (Use All Effects, All Decks, Line Switches, Samplers) Posted on: 21.09.2012 by Syble Bratvold I haven't really seen any mappings for Torq or the Xponent so since I have them, I decided to make one.https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BxG7tY ... UhQUWhmdmc Here's what it does: *All Features work in tandem with the Deck Switch feature unless otherwise noted (so you can use this in 2 Deck and 4 Deck mode). *All Features are the same on either side of the Xponent unless otherwise stated. 1 - Transform Left = Alt. 2 - Transform Right = Ctrl. 3 - External Control Switch Left Alt. + (X) (Refers to Left Deck Switch X) = External Control Switch Switches External Control Between Deck A & Deck B 4 - External Control Switch Right Alt. + (-) (Refers to Right Deck Switch -) = External Control Switch Switches External Control Between Deck C & D (Note - You must select your external control sources and set one Deck on each side to external control in order for the switch to work. It works in 2 and 4 deck modes) 5 - Line Switch Alt. + Gain Kill Switch = Line Switch Switch to an External Line Source 6 - Double Instance Alt. + Loop 2, 4 or 8 = Double Instance Loop buttons correspond to the available Deck. For instance if using Deck A, pressing Alt. + Loop 2 would give you a Double instance of Deck B; Alt. + Loop 4 = Deck C; Alt. + Loop 8 = Deck D. 7 - Deck Load Deck A = Ctrl. + (x)LEFT Deck B = Ctrl. + (-)LEFT Deck C = Ctrl. + (x)RIGHT Deck D = Ctrl. + (-)RIGHT 8 - Index Scroll Alt. + Ctrl. + Side of Left Jog Wheel Use the Mouse To Click Into the browser and scroll down with this control. 9 - Cue Point Juggles Ctrl.+ Cue Point - This function is active as long as you hold the button combination. Cue point will stop playing once you release it. It also turns off SYNC while playing the CUE point so you can "punch in' where ever it sounds good! 10 - Effects I've routed all effects to a One Knob/One Button setup. Each Knob and Button in the effects section now corresponds to One Effect. It takes some getting use to but it's much easier than reaching for the keyboard. Knob = Mix Alt. + Knob = Effect Select (Choose your Effect) Ctrl. + Knob = Parameter Button = Effect On/Off Alt. + Button = Send Mode (Route) Ctrl. + Button = Parameter Button 10 - Effects Bypass Alt. + PFL I have programmed the sampler (20 Decks... you have to edit the 'Constants' file changing the number of samplers to 20 or whatever floats your boat. It's the third line down in the text file) into the Xponent. So far just basic functionality. You have to set up your loops, speed and volume. I suggest saving them into banks. You can use the Xponent to start and stop them. Left Deck Alt + QC1 = Sampler 1 Play/Stop Alt + QC2 = Sampler 2 Play/Stop Alt + QC3 = Sampler 3 Play/Stop Alt + QC4 = Sampler 4 Play/Stop Alt + QC5 = Sampler 5 Play/Stop Alt + Increment Back = Sampler 6 Play/Stop Alt + Increment Forward = Sampler 7 Play/Stop Alt + Key Lock = Sampler 8 Play/Stop Alt + Key + = Sampler 9 Play/Stop Alt + Key - = Sampler 10 Play/Stop The same applies on the right deck for sampler bays 11-20. Ctrl + Gain Kill(Right) = Jump To Database Ctrl + High Kill(Right) = Jump TO Files Ctrl + Mid Kill(Right) = Jump to Crates Ctrl + Low Kill(Right) = Jump TO Playlists You can also hit enter by holding Shift/Ctrl and tapping the left jog wheel. All of the corresponding lights have been programmed in as well so pressing Alt. or Ctrl. will let you know if a particular feature is active or not by displaying its light output on the Xponent. Thanks for reading and stay tuned as I will be adding more features for even more control of Torq with the Xponent. Peace. | |

Syble Bratvold 09.10.2012 | Here is a video demonstration of the Xponent and Torq. |
Syble Bratvold 26.09.2012 | Here's an update. I worked out a couple of kinks with some of the lights and a few triggers. https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BxG...lBnM25jUWJMeHM |
