Mapping DN-X1600 with Traktor 2.5 (scratch pro) (mac) Posted on: 12.10.2012 by Illa Ciezki Hi thereThis has most likely already been posted on here, but I'm getting frustrated with trying to map my new DN-X1600 mixer with Traktor 2.5. I use a mac. I've searched community s, and I appear to be getting so close, but still not working. I can't figure out what settings I have wrong. If anyone can assist, it would be HUGELY appreciated. I'm only using two decks at the moment, through CH2&CH3 DN-X1600 settings USB = B PC = Mac Mono = off CH2 = P2 CH3 = P3 Audio = Master (contradictory to pg.19 in the manual where part2 says set to Audio to CH) Sample Rate = 96KHz Tracktor 2.5 settings (preferences) Audio setup Audio Device = DN-X1600 Sample Rate = 96000Hz Output Routing (this is where I believe I'm going wrong, but am stumped) Mixing mode = External Output Deck A: L = 1.Front Left, R = 2.Front Right Output Deck B: L = 1.Front Left, R = 2.Front Right Input Routing Input Deck A: L(mono) = 1.Front Left, R = 2.Front Right Output Deck B: L(mono) = 1.Front Left, R = 2.Front Right I don't understand why it would be 'mono' and they don't appear right to me, but the dropdown doesn't give me many options. Also, in the DN-X1600 manual, pg17 appears to contradict pg.19, in that I'm not sure if I should be in CH or Master mode.. Again, any help would be appreciated!! Regards (in ever hopeful advance ) | |

Illa Ciezki 12.10.2012 | I'm downloading .prs now, so I can import your settings. On the DN-X1600 am I supposed to be on CH or Master? |
Illa Ciezki 12.10.2012 | Hey Photojojo Thanks for your response. I've set to external mode and using the DN-X1600 as an external device. I also have the KX1 in a USB port, but that's not responding. I've copied your preferences, but my timecode setting in preferences isn't showing my decks i.e. they're set to 'off'. I'm relatively new to this software, so how do I export my settings and import yours? The link doesn't show me anything... *confused look*.... Thanks again! |
Leeanna Ayla 12.10.2012 | Do you only have two channels available? you should have four unless you're in internal mode. If that's the case you need to be in external. You can export your mixer settings and import mine from my 1600 when I had it. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2196896/DENO...PRST_X1700.prs I had all four channels working, preview player and internal recording in Traktor. I had my sample rate much lower when I had my DNX1600 because frankly I saw no point in anything over 44100. I'm sure there are some other quirks I had a certain way that you may want different so export yours before importing mine or go through everything and change it back to suit you accordingly. Here's what all of my preferences looked like when I had the mixer, but that's been awhile so I may be fuzzy on details if you have any other questions. https://www.evernote.com/pub/photojo...torpreferences |
