Problem with Traktor, I'm sure I'm not the only one! Posted on: 30.10.2012 by Herb Paluso Hey! This is my first post on this community
! I'm using a Mixtrack PRO with NI's Traktor 2.0.3 on a Macbook, I have been struggling with this problem for a while now.. Google didn't provide answers so I hope you guys have found a way to work around this!My problem is when I'm making a custom mapping and I want to add the pitch bend (some people call it tempo bend) to my jogwheels. I just want to be able to speed up the track / slow down the track by touching the sides of the platter, and at the same time when the track isn't playing I would like to be able to move back and forth in the track by spinning the platter. For some reason as soon as I touch the platter the BPM goes through the roof or the track completely stops. Is there some way to work around this? I've tried setting the platter to both "fader/knob" and "encoder", I've also played with the interaction mode and the rotary encoder-options. Also I've tried using "Tempo bend", "Tempo bend (stepless)" and "Jog scratch + Tempo bend", no luck there. I would be eternally grateful for information on how to fix this problem, I'm supposed to play at a private party in a while and I don't wanna use the "SYNC"-button. Thanks! | |

Kellie Myrum 31.10.2012 | Add in > Jog turn -type of controller - encoder -interaction mode - relative |
Herb Paluso 31.10.2012 | Great Stewe! Thanks alot! |
Tatum Ansaldo 31.10.2012 | Is there a reason you're still using 2.0.3? |
Kellie Myrum 31.10.2012 | There is always a way to mix mapping. Give me some time till I check my friend's traktor which is 2.0.something and I'll report back to you. |
Herb Paluso 31.10.2012 | Hey Stewe, thanks for the reply! I've already tried four or five mappings, none with working jogwheels. The authors even specified that the jogs were working but they didn't. I heard that NI updated and that the pitchbend command got broken. Is there no way to fix it? |
Kellie Myrum 30.10.2012 | Hi rSet and welcome to community
, It's been a while since I used 2.0 so can't really tell you which command you should use but I can suggest you to have a look at Traktor Bible site and download few mappings for your version of traktor and give jogs a try. When you find jog behavior you are fine with - look in to controller manager and try to find correct command and replicate the same one to your custom mapping. http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ne.aspx?id=150 Hope it helps |
