Using Traktor Remix Decks without F1
Posted on: 03.07.2012 by Genoveva Souvannasane
Hey guys, I'm a dubstep producer/dj from Trinidad and Tobago, you can check me out at http://www.facebook.com/ColonyDubstep. I wanted to put this little issue out to the community and see what you guys believe of it. Basically, I love traktor and the idea of using the remix decks. I use the software and I have a kontrol s2 and a korg kaoss pad (random I know but I'm just listing the gear I have available to me). The thing is, my country's currency is absolutely useless and I'm a student. I already invested $5000 in the s2 and nearly $800 on my headphones. To buy a kontrol f1 would run me at the least, $3000. I just don't have that cash. I'm wondering if there is any effective way to use the remix decks by mapping the kaoss pad (I don't know if it would make sense) or even effective use of keyboard shortcuts (can't seem to find any online). Let me know what you guys believe? Thanks in advance and let me know if you do get a chance to check out my stuff what you believe!

I've made a new tutorial and I made a simple to use program to map every controller to the remix decks

It emulates mouse clicks based on screen position (X/Y). It's not an ideal solution because you cannot press more then two buttons at once.

can you explain that a bit more?

AutoHotKey can make keystrokes mimmick mouse clicks. It's not too hard, but you need to be patient.
