Korg NANOkey2 Key Changer mapping
Korg NANOkey2 Key Changer mapping Posted on: 09.12.2012 by Cristina Hoston I've designed a traktor mapping for the nanokey2 and I thought I would share it with you.https://maps.djranking s.com/mappings/702 This mapping is designed to change the key of a track and while it's more of a creative tool, it can also be used functionally. To use it, first select the deck you wish to change the key of by pressing either the mod or sustain buttons (mod being deck A, sustain being deck B) then use the keys to change the pitch of the track playing on that deck. Also, if you press the pitch bend down button, you can toggle keylock on and off or hold in on with pitch bend up. Included in the zip file is a Korg Kontrol Editor file. You will need to open this in the editor and write it to the controller for the mapping to work properly. If you are not using a Numark Mixtrack you will also have to reroute the outputs in the nanokey mapping to your controller. To do this, select the mapping in the controller manager in traktor and where it says "Out-Port" set it to all ports if it isn't already and set the "In-Port" to all ports as well. Then find the outputs for modifier #1 and click learn if it isn't selected. Then move/hit the control you want the nanokey to light up (if there isn't a button/pot that corresponds to your control, select the midi command manually from the menu). Repeat this for modifier #2 then set the "In-Port" back to the nanokey. Uses for this mapping:
I used a mapping similar to this heavily in this mash-up https://soundcloud.com/robert_wulfman/sneaky-sound-system-vs-bloc Does the mapping work for you? Is it useful? Have any ideas on how to improve it? Comments and feedback are/is appreciated. | |
