Karin Richens 28.12.2012 | So you'll be glad to know that I am almost done with this mapping almost exactly the same config as in Traktor LE! *success!* |
Karin Richens 08.12.2012 | So for the jog wheels. I set them as you suggested and there is a slight problem. When I jog forward and backward in a really quick fashion, the track seems to only pick up the reverse jog as a primary command. Pretty much what happens is the track starts to go in reverse. Maybe we could suggest this option to NI and they could impliment it into their program? The selector knob sends two notes. One for one direction and another for the other direction. It was mainly used to scroll up and down the list of songs. |
Kellie Myrum 07.12.2012 | 1. Add one modifier and set it to toggle between two values on each press of the button. Dedicate first value (0) for 'tempo band' and second value (1) set for 'jog touch' and 'seek position'. 2. You should use command 'jog turn' actually, just make sure to set it as encoder-relative with usable amount of rotary sensitivity and do the same for other direction except of the fact that this command should be set as INVERTED. 3. Pretty much you were correct. No such option - still... 4. Do you use rotary encoder for this knob and does it send one CC or two notes as your jogwheels? |
Karin Richens 07.12.2012 | All right. Well after a ton of research on how to map this device I have mapped ALMOST everything. The only things left are {scratch} {ALL of the jog wheel configs} {reverse} and {select knob} Basically I have been setting it up just as it was in Traktor LE. But I am running into problems with these. {scratch} -basically it is supposed to be hit when you want to start scratching up the track. When this is off the jog wheels would just speed up and slow down the track, kinda like a tempo changer. But when you hit this button, when the jog wheels are turned it stops the track and allows it to literally scan through the track. {jog wheels} Ok, so this one I have no idea how to do. I have tried several things including actually using the *jog turn* mapping. Didn't work. The way the jog wheel maps out is: *turning clockwise* -Ch01.Note.C6 *turning counter clockwise* -Ch01.Note.C#6 *not moving* -Ch01.Note.E6 {reverse} -pretty much you hit the button and it plays the track in reverse. I haven't been able to find a mapping option for that {select knob} -basically it is a knob that has one mapping in one direction and another mapping in the other direction. Used to scroll through the playlists to select which track you want to load for that deck. So you can see that it is different from a regular knob. So that is pretty much it. Once I get this mapping done I will upload it so everyone can use it. |
Kellie Myrum 27.11.2012 | Hey guys, I don't use I-mix but could be of help here. If you can find or create a MIDI diagram I'd be able to create map for 2.6 by assigning commands manually and then share it here for testing. |
Karin Richens 27.11.2012 | At least one other person is having the same problem that I am having. I, also, would like the mappings for the DJ Tech I-Mix. (not the Reload). See, the situation is this. Traktor 3 LE came with the turntable set. I loved using the program for this so I decided "Well, maybe it would be a good idea to upgrade to the full version" as they brag about in the instruction manual for the LE . Unfourtunately, the I-Mix is not supported (strangely) in the Pro version. Pretty frustrating, right? Well I hope that someone can come along and help us out. |
