Map effect on button to blink?
Map effect on button to blink? Posted on: 29.12.2012 by Julian Ispas is that possible?i have a vci 400, i have mapped alot pre-set effects on the pad buttons. and when i press on 1 of them (for example flange effect would turn on). so my set up now is that when the LED is ON from any of the buttons mean there is a preset effect mapped. my only indication that im using that effect is when the LED is OFF is there away to make it BLINK instead of OFF? help please, i might believe this is impossible. being trying different stuff for hours | |

Kellie Myrum 29.12.2012 | I see your MIDI is set to 'All Ports' do you use second controller in your setup? In any case, set MIDI to VCI400 to be sure. |

Kellie Myrum 29.12.2012 | Should it behave as: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpZiX...ature=youtu.be Make sure to clear modifier condition (M1=1) out of 'button 1' first and ADD in > Modifier 1 > button-hold > value 1... Leave modCon M1=1 for beat phase. |
Julian Ispas 29.12.2012 | really? you got it to work? what the....i know right...it should be as simple as evening
and day. but it doesnt like me for some reason. so u do add in - button 1 - effect unit 2 - *learn any button* - modifier m1-1 add out - beat phase - *learn the same button* - modifier m1-1 correct? |
Kellie Myrum 29.12.2012 | That should work dude, it's pretty simple mapping not to... I can make quick video to prove my statement. |
Julian Ispas 29.12.2012 | ofcourse, what ever the modifier i use on the button 1....i used it on beat phase |
Kellie Myrum 29.12.2012 | Did you use modifier to engage blink? |
Julian Ispas 29.12.2012 | yup, this is on an all new fresh mapping page...to avoid conflicting. i would like to believe this is mappable |
Kellie Myrum 29.12.2012 | That is totally mappable, make sure you don't have any other conflicting LED output commands mapped for same pad. Start new mapping and map only this few commands to test. |

Julian Ispas 29.12.2012 | yes i have mapped 8 presets into 8 button pads. i have tried for with the "Beat Phase" numerous of time, none of them work. this is how i have it....maybe im during something wrong. add in - button 1 - toggle - effect unit 2 - *learn one of the button pads* add out - button 1 - *learn the SAME button pad* - check invert - **** when the effect is off the LED is lit, and OFF when effect is on**** add out - beat phase - *learn the same button* - **** here i messed with the controller range with different min/max values**** nothing works. this beeat phase method works for the PLAY/PAUSE button.....i dont know why it doesnt work for the effect on. add out - phase beat - |

Kellie Myrum 29.12.2012 | I assume you've mapped presets to 8 button pad? Modifier can help you with idea.. M1=1 ; M1=2 ; M1=3 ; M1=4 M1=5 ; M1=6 ; M1=7 ; M1=0 All values should be set to 'HOLD'. Now map 'Beat Phase' to all buttons and dedicate modifier conditions of each button. |
