Need help with new MF3D
Posted on: 29.12.2012 by Ryan Schlich
Trying to map my new MF3D to the instant grat mapping for now.
Im pretty sure I followed the instructions on this page exactly; http://www.djranking s.com/midi-figh...p/#pickmapping

And I got the midi-fighter sort of HALF working.

- What I mean is, when I when I try to control a track playing on Deck A through bank 1, the first 4 arcade buttons dont do anything. The gater, beatmasher and other effects work though.

- BUT when I try to control a track playing on Deck B on bank 2 of the MF3D, the Gater effects are moved to the first 4 buttons of bank 1 and the first 4 buttons in bank 2 dont do anything.

What I ultimately want is to be able to separately control Decks A B C D by shifting through the 4 top bank buttons on the MF3D using the Instant Gratification mapping
.

Im pretty new to traktor in general but I can follow directions. However I need someone who knows this controller better than I do to help me because I cant get this to work properly for me.
Please and Thank you

EDIT: Ok it seems the mapping is working properly for Deck A,
But its still not working for Deck B. I believe its because Im using a Midi-Fighter classic mapping for a MF3D right, someone please point be towards the right direction, Ive been on this thing for the past few hours, my brain is feeling fried and my eyes are bleeding.

Using big import button will overwrite all existing generic mappings.

star
go snag the beaubryte mapping
the one you may have already downloaded is either for the MF classic or an older mapping

i did the same thing when i got my MF3D
took me a few days to realize it wasnt working because it was outdated by the version of the kontroller and the software lol

dont forgot to DELETE the old mapping from your controller settings listing
have the MF plugged directly into the computer (no hub)
import the file via the MF untility (with Traktor Closed or it wont open the utility)
flash your MF and DONT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS in there

close the utility
open tracktor
import the tsi file as needed (TWICE)
dont press any buttons yet and just close traktor

now reopen traktor pro

make sure you have the correct controller settings selected
and test it out.

Once it works fine
then and ONLY then can you move the USB for the MF from your computer port over to a hub

Maybe the bank mode in the MF utility is setup wrong.

You can try my all-in-1-pack, it's an updated version of the classic instant grat,
it has the 4 banks setup like you describe.
