Jester's X1 Mapping MKII (2 deck, FX + EQ Modes) Posted on: 30.08.2011 by Latoria Kavulich Hi guys. Here is my latest mapping for the X1 designed if you would like to use it as a mixer. It is very much an "either/or" type mapping as you will not be able to utilise effects if the deck is in EQ mode. I also whipped up a jpeg and hope it kinda makes sense. After a while my patience runs thin and I get frustrated and i leave the X1 sitting there until I can get some time again. I just updated to 2.6 today and i wanted to test your Jesters Mighty X1 - MkIII .tsi, it took me all of 15 minutes to find all the features you mapped. Great job thank you!!! |

Included are the A/C + B/D .tsi's if you use 2 X1's Changes since MkII: - Crossfader now works in any mode, Swapped the buttons so SHIFT + Left FX1/Right FX2 is the Crossfader, SHIFT + Left FX2/Right FX1 activates Auto XF. Loading a deck resets the Crossfader. - Beatjump is now SHIFT + Left LOOP encoder [Focus] (Default amount +/- 16) SHIFT + Right LOOP encoder now Cycles deck focus - Switching to EQ Mode on either deck toggles filter on/off, DRY/WET now controls filter amount and SHIFT + DRY/WET controls the gain. - FX Panel Mode command removed, SHIFT + FX ON now resets gain and filter. - SHIFT + LOOP IN/OUT Moves the grid marker, SHIFT + BEAT LEFT/RIGHT adjusts the track bpm SHIFT + CUP adds a grid marker I'm putting together a video for this as well. |

I like to ask if you improve some features like in midi mode some presets to super fx knobs, and sure deck C & D, I'm trying mapping here this but not sucess at all. | Hulda Ramprasad 26.04.2012 | Hi there. I downloaded this mapping from the new DJTT maps section yesterday (and I have subsequently 'Liked' it). Already I'm using it when mobile and away from my S4 (my X1 is always out with me with the MacBook) to prep tracks and test a few things out of a new mix, so I'm finding the EQ's and volume channel faders a great help. I have no mapping knowledge. How easy would it be to remove the peak light info from the FX LED's and use the 4 buttons per deck to fire off the sample deck slots instead? This would be a great help to me, happy to do this myself if it's easy enough to change in the Controller Manager. Thanks in advance, and thanks for sharing the map. c |

Is it possible to get the dry/wet button as volume faders, fx1 on for monitors (left right) knob 1 filter, 2 and 3 for delay/freeze effect and other effects. and on shift you get the whole eq with 1,2 and 3 for freq and dry wet remains volume fader. If it's difficult can you walk me through, or get me a reference tai so I an work on it? |

I worked out that the FX buttons light up in intensity along with the level of the line faders. This is prob why he wants to clear the FX units so that the status of the FX units does not conflict with the illumination of the line fader levels. |

| Monroe Vandeslunt 31.08.2011 | Okay I got your mapping loaded and been playing with it. Most of it is pretty intuitive. The only bit which doesn't make sense to me is why changing from FX to EQ mode kills effects units 1 and 2. I know in your jpeg it makes it clear it does that but what is the advantage in doing so? Also changing either deck from FX to EQ mode kills both deck's FX units 1 and 2, which means if you have an effect going on 1 and want to change deck 2 to EQ mode you can't cause it will kill effects on deck 1. |

I am planning to get a new controller for Traktor by the end of the month and have been considering Novation Twitch or two Faderfox DJ3 units. Now when I see your mapping, the X1 is also going into consideration. I was wondering if it is possible to have two X1 units working together in order to have complete control over 4 decks - A, B with the first and C,D with the second. I am not using sample decks, so the same mapping on both X1s would work great for me. |
